Perfect Sense
Within the romance genre, this film falls into the slot of movies about lovers kept apart by outside events. Ewan McGregor plays a chef and Eva Green is a scientist (they wear matching white smocks) who fall in love while panic breaks out around the world as people react to the inevitable progression of an epidemic. In the face of this chaos, the paramours cling to each other. McGregor and Green prove to have sizzling chemistry, and director David Mackenzie makes terrific use of Glasgow, particularly the calming effects of the city’s waterfront.
