NEDS
This Scottish drama tells the story of a working class boy in Glasgow, one of the city’s so-called “non educated delinquents,” from which this powerful film obtains its title. Connor McCarron’s portrayal of a boy torn between getting that all important schooling and the lure of the gangs has been called a “star-making performance.” As he did in “The Magdalene Sisters,” director Peter Mullan shows an affinity for directing young actors. A highly regarded actor himself, Mullan plays the boy’s father.
