Flying Blind
Award winning British actress Helen McCrory (Cherie Blair in “The Queen”) plays a successful middle aged career woman in this intriguing mix of erotic drama and post 9/11 thriller. As a Bristol-based aeronautical engineer, she meets a 24-year-old Algerian student at the college where she is a guest lecturer. The flirtation turns into a very steamy May-December romance. However we soon learn that her lover is not an engineering student, but an illegal immigrant with a police record and a Web browser filled with Islamic fundamentalist sites. Director Katarzyna Klimkiewicz was the winner of the 2010 Best Short Film Award at the European Film Awards.
